Sleeve gastrectomy done for Super obese patient with weight 176 kg BMI 54
The patient had complications of obesity like hypertension, disc prolapse, knee pain, snoring, and fatty liver.
After the failure of several diet programs, we decided to do the operation, which was done with advanced laparoscopic tools and using a tristapler from covidien by the local certified agent.
The patient remains 48 h in the hospital, and then we did an upper GI series X-Ray to be sure that everything is OK.
Then we give the instructions and discharge him.
We follow up with the patient for 9 months, checking weight decrease, doing investigations, prescribing vitamins…
